About me
Randy Curtis
Welcome…
My name is Randy Curtis, and I’m a photographer based in Chicago. Although photography is not my profession, it is a lifelong passion. The work shown on this website is a visual diary of my photography interests and adventures that I’m happy to be able to share with you.
As a husband and a father, much of my early photography consisted of photos of my family. Not only was capturing and preserving these memories fulfilling, but it further expanded my interest in photography and inspired me to see more of our world through the lens of my camera.
My primary photographic interests are outdoor and landscape photography. One of my earliest memories of doing landscape photography was traveling to Smoky Mountain National Park with my brother-in-law to photograph the fall colors. We traveled by van for over 10 hours and spent three rain-filled days in the Smoky Mountains. Although the trip was far from perfect, the experience reinforced my love of photography and I’ve been exploring ever since.
Some of my favorite places to photograph are national parks and monuments. Whether it’s Yellowstone, Zion, Yosemite, Grand Teton National Park, or places in between, capturing the one-of-a-kind natural beauty of these environments is always an amazing experience. Although I’m only able to travel to these locations a few times a year, I appreciate the fact that I’m able to preserve the experiences through my photography and share them here with friends and family.
Apart from outdoor and landscape photography, I also enjoy photographing urban cityscapes and street art. Every city has its own personality with unique sights to see, and it’s always fun to experience what a new city has to offer. Be sure to check out my urban and street art galleries, which contain amazing images from talented Chicago and New York artists.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. If you have any questions or would like to connect with me further, feel free to contact me any time.
